😆 We are celebrating another year in our home at 4001 North 23rd Street in McAllen and… whaaaat. 14 years already? After 60 years in our downtown McAllen location at 601 North Main Street, the Old Main Library closed its doors on November 23, 2011. Ready for a new home, a new look, and a new direction, McAllen Public Library relocated to its current location in December 2011. Now an award winning public library, our Main Library spans 123,000 square feet and is the largest single floor public library in the nation. 14 years in, and this building still feels like the perfect place for our community to read, learn, gather, and grow. Thanks for helping us make this space feel like home year after year.
