Years ago, when Chef Marcel owned the McAllen Culinary School, Michelle was a student in one of his cooking classes. She was already a skilled home cook, but lessons like proper knife technique and how to julienne a bell pepper became lifelong foundations—ones that would eventually shape Reserva’s food program.
Fast forward to 2026, and now we get to share our coffee knowledge with his class.
We recently hosted the UTRGV College of Hospitality & Tourism’s Beverage Appreciation students at Reserva Roastery, walking them through coffee from bean to cup and how to discern coffee preferences from guest to guest.
