Our special for this Saturday, April 18th, holds a special place in our hearts!🦋 The Crunch French Toast, or our Mama Lulu Special, comes from a childhood memory. Our mom, Maria de Lourdes “Lulu” Vela, used to make us this dish Sunday mornings as kids, sparking a love for cooking and sharing meals with one another. Beyond being an incredible cook, she inspired us to push through and is the reason why Birdie’s is what it is today. To honor her on her birthday, we will be having this beloved french toast on our menu all day this coming Saturday! Come out to enjoy this delicious meal, along with her favorite cocktail, a tincho, and help us in honoring our mom. 🩷🦋
