Women Veterans Day commemorates the signing of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act in 1948. This landmark legislation allowed women to serve as permanent, regular members of the U.S. military. While women had served in every conflict since the American Revolution, this act finally granted them formal recognition and paved the way for generations of women to follow.
Today, women make up approximately 17% of our military force—and that number continues to grow. From pilots and medics to commanders and combat veterans, their roles are vital, their experiences unique, and their service undeniable. We Honor, Respect and Support all who served! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
On June 12th, we pause to honor the remarkable contributions of women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
