That Cut article on “Ugly Cakes” hit a nerve. I’m a small baker, and yes — I make cakes that are bold, nostalgic, sparkly, a little wild. And guess what? People love them. I love them. Not everything has to be sleek or minimal to be beautiful. Some of us find joy in the loud, the quirky, the over-the-top. And that joy? It’s real. It’s valid. And it deserves respect.
