Our annual “altares” offer a deeper appreciation into tradition, culture, and community.
Visit the IMAS this weekend for a look at Changemakers: Honoring Legacies of Impact celebrating those who shaped our world through the arts, sciences, and beyond.
DĂa de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of those who have passed to reunite through food, drink, and celebration. This beautiful blend of Mesoamerican ritual, European religion, and Spanish culture has been celebrated each year from November 1–2.
Here at IMAS, we honor this tradition with our annual DĂa de los Muertos festival and community altares.
