Have some overdue books hiding in a galaxy far, far away? This April, McAllen Public Library (MPL) is declaring Amnesty Month from April 1 through May 4, giving you the chance to return items and clear your account with no fines, no matter how long you’ve had them.
Bring back books, DVDs, CDs, and more to any MPL location and get back on track. Every return counts, so whether it’s been a few weeks or a few years, now’s the time to bring them in. This year’s theme, "Returning Books is the Way," adds a fun touch throughout the month with themed photo-ops at Main Library and a chance to win a grand prize raffle.
As April comes to a close, the celebration builds into a weekend of themed events leading up to May 4th, including a movie marathon, hands-on activities, and a community celebration at Main Library.
