Participants will learn how these reptiles survive in South Texas, why they are important to the environment, and how we can help protect them in the wild.

About Our Expert Speaker

Franco Salinas is an environmental educator and program developer based in South Texas. He works with the Valley Nature Center, where he designs hands-on educational programs, community outreach initiatives, and nature-based experiences for children and families. His work focuses on making science accessible, engaging, and relevant through interactive learning, creative programming, and real-world connections to local ecosystems. Franco is passionate about fostering curiosity, stewardship, and lifelong learning through nature and science education.
