About Our Expert Speaker Dr. Sharon (Shari) Wilcox is the Senior Texas Representative for Defenders of Wildlife, where she leads conservation and restoration initiatives for native U.S.–Mexico borderland wild cats, including jaguar, jaguarundi, and ocelot. She also brings academic and applied expertise to her role as a Professor of Practice in Geography and Sustainability at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
