As we close out 2025, we’re reflecting on the many meaningful ways the McAllen Farmers Market helped our community access fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables. This year marked incredible growth, with 7,815 WIC FMNP vouchers distributed and $2,200 in Double Up Bucks provided to help local families stretch their food dollars and shop healthier. Later in the year, we were proud to partner with the Raul Tijerina Jr. Foundation and Texas Local Food to launch Farmers Market Buddy Bucks for.a limited time, encouraging neighbors to bring a friend and discover even more locally grown produce together. What an incredible year it has been.
