New Arrival! "Commander" by Melvin C. Warren CA (1920 - 1995), Limited edition bronze 58/60 Melvin Warren was an early Cowboy Artist of America artist and gold medal winner who worked in both painting and sculpture. His years working on ranches in Texas and California gave him insight and appreciation for the life of the working cowboy. While at Texas Christian University pursuing a degree in the Fine Arts, cowboys and western scenes became his primary subject. The subject for this piece, the longhorn known as "Commander," was rendered in both painting and the detailed bronze sculpture you see here.
