In October, we see many birds slowly making their way south as they migrate. While some are just visiting, others will spend their winter here in the RGV. These birds are our Winter residents, birds that will stay in the Valley over the Winter season. On our last walk, notable sightings included a Peregrine Falcon and all our colorful native birds, like Green Jays and Great Kiskadees. Join a guide to see what birds Fall Migration brings in. 🍂Saturday October 3 💛8:30am - 10:00am ✨Included with General Park Admission #rgvbirding #fallmigration #quintamazatlan #exploremcallen

The Rio Grande Valley is home to a wide variety of wildlife. This is in part due to its unique habitats and proximity to the coast and Mexico. With a little over 500 different species of birds that can visit our area during the year, the RGV is a birders paradise. 🐦😎What makes the Valley even more unique are the specialty birds that can only be found in South Texas.!✨ Join Isidro Montemayor to explore 30 species of birds that are a must see when visiting the RGV. 🐦Thursday, Sept. 10 🌳6:00pm - 7:00pm 🙌Included with General Park Admission #quintamazatlan #rgvbirding #exploremcallen
