"pueblo" by John Franklin (1925-2010), 16" x 20", oil on canvas. Known for his impressionistic paintings of Pueblo Indians and Pueblo life in southwest, John Franklin was a prolific artist who, during his active years, lived in Arizona, California, and Taos, New Mexico, the latter providing the inspiration for many of his paintings. His skill with the brush and unique approach led him to be a successful artist in the region and provided him name recognition.
