From evenings that highlight voices from the Rio Grande Valley to a family poetry workshop that brings everyone together, there’s space to listen, create, and share. STBF Presents: Family Poetry Workshop is happening @ Main Library on Saturday, April 18 from 10AM-12PM. This all ages, family friendly event brings poetry to life with live readings from local and guest poets, along with hands on workshops and interactive activity stations for all ages. Featured poets include Amanda Puryear El, Paola Carrasco, Veronica Isabel Gutierrez, and Emmy Perez. Teens can explore rap as poetry and find their voice with Amanda Puryear El, children can learn poetry recitation with Veronica Isabel Gutierrez, and everyone is invited to help create a community poem led by Emmy Perez. Book signings and refreshments will be available. ✍️📚
