Nolana Ave, McAllen, TX 78504 956-681-2800 About the Exhibit Mark Chen explores the conceptual link between the geological age of landscapes and distances of galaxies. For his photography, the artist projects star imagery from space organizations such as NASA, onto remote landscapes in national parks using novel projection techniques. Chen documents his journeys to hard-to-reach landscapes in blogs on his artist website. He describes that, “he invents and repurposes tools as he pushes media boundaries, devising new processes that make possible the executions of his concepts.” The photographs in the series, Pilgrimage of Light, highlight the contrast between the earth and vastness of space. #ExploreIMAS #IMASartist #McAllenTX #RGVlife #photographyexhibition
