McAllen Public Library invites the community to “Celebrate Our Roots & Stories” at the 12th Annual South Texas Book Festival, happening at the Main Library (4001 N. 23rd St.) on Saturday, October 25, 2025. This free festival, presented by H-E-B Helping Here, is a celebration of books, culture, and imagination with a lineup of authors and engaging events for all ages.

STBF will feature authors, games & activities, food vendors, community partners, and a kiddie train for children. Books will be available for purchase through the Festival’s exclusive bookseller, The Storybook Garden, and attendees can have them signed by participating authors. Thanks to the support of H-E-B Helping Here, every child and teen who attends will receive a free book to take home.
