Discovering the Five Senses January 1, 2025 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Use all your senses at IMAS, Young Adventurers are invited to drop in to see, touch, taste, hear and smell as we explore the many ways, we sense our surroundings! This workshop includes a light snack, story time and an animal talk with an IMAS Ambassador Animal. Learn from our animal friends how we all have different senses, and some better than others as we create a swirl of colors using shaving cream.
Young Adventurers: Join us for Young Adventurers at the International Museum of Art & Science, a fun and engaging experience designed for children ages 1-6 with an accompanying adult. Workshops sessions are held at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. with a different theme each month. Registration includes the participating child and up to two adults. Families are welcome to stick around and explore the museum before/after their workshop.
Our IMAS Educators will lead hands-on activities that introduce young learners to the exciting world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math). Through play and exploration, children will develop essential problem-solving and motor skills, while fostering critical thinking and observation abilities. Together with their guardians, young adventurers will discover the wonders of nature and gain an early appreciation for STEAM concepts.
Best of all, these workshops are completely free to attend, thanks to the support of the PNC Foundation. In addition, this grant-funded program includes a limited number of memberships for qualifying families (WIC/EBT) and will be issued during Young Adventurer workshop days.
Space is limited, and participation is available while supplies last. Activity supplies are reserved for registered participants.
