There have been many hummingbirds around all week! We've stocked up on feeders (and are having to refill them often) and the hummingbirds are loving them, along with the abundant Turk's Cap flowers in our gardens. A reminder that our Hummingbird Morning is next Saturday, September 12, from 9 AM - 12 PM. The relaxing morning includes guided bird walks, family activities, educational presentations, and vendors with native plants, bird feeding supplies, snacks, and more.

Have you noticed more hummingbirds around? We certainly have, because the peak of Ruby-throated Hummingbird migration is in September! Join us on Saturday, September 12, for our annual Hummingbird Morning program as we welcome these flying jewels on their migratory journeys. During this relaxing morning in the park, you can join guided bird walks, participant in educational activities, and learn from experts with Wild Birds Unlimited and our staff about hummingbirds and how to attract them to your space. There will also be market vendors selling native plants, bird feeding supplies, and other food and wares. Hummingbird Morning is at Quinta Mazatlan in McAllen, on Saturday September 12 from 9 AM - 12 PM. Admission is $5. See you there!
