El Zarape Press welcomes writers of all levels to the 7th year of Talleres Huitzilopochtli (named in honor of the Aztec sun god). This is a free afternoon of writing and creativity exercises by McAllen Poet Laureate Daniel García Ordaz.

1:30 to 1:55 p.m.: Meet and greet; set-up. Perfect time to grab a coffee or tea and a pastry or sandwich.
2--2:55 p.m.: Welcome and Writing Workshop
3:05--4 p.m.: Creativity Exercise, Sharing of Work and Exchange of Ideas.
