El Zarape Press welcomes writers of all levels to the 8th year of Talleres Huitzilopochtli (named in honor of the Aztec sun god) on Saturday, June 21st from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kreative Grounds Cafe in McAllen. This is a free day of writing and creativity exercises by McAllen Poet Laureate Emeritus Daniel García Ordaz with a marketing presentation for authors by poet Alisha Ryan Reinitz.

9 to 30 a.m.: Meet and greet; set-up. Perfect time to grab a coffee or tea and a pastry.
9:30 to 10:30 a.m.: Welcome and Writing Workshop
10:45 to 11:45: Marketing Workshop
